I am currently accepting clients on Mondays and Fridays. Sometimes a very difficult experience from the past, or a series of difficulties, continues to impact us long after the event itself. If you have experienced past physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or trauma it likely has shaped the way you think about yourself and the world. It can make it difficult to trust yourself or others, control your emotions and reactions to events, and can keep your body and nervous system on high alert. For many, it can interfere with daily life in the form of racing thoughts, rumination, anxiety, depression, or panic attacks.
