Come ready to work hard even if you are scared & don't know what to say. Therapy can be weird & painful. The goal isn't to stay in the pain it's to move through it & find coping skills that work for you don't damage your relationships. Be open to sharing & homework to practice new skills. You set your goals & together we set the plan. Whether past sexual abuse, divorce, aging parents, college age kids, career change or all of them- they can all be a part of the conversation. All topics lead to the goal of your healing & insight into what is in your way of where you want to go. Help and healing along the way- that is counseling.
