As a registered therapeutic counsellor, I use Somatic therapy to support clients in their process of connecting with themselves and processing trauma stored within the body. Somatic therapy is a body-centered therapy. It is a trauma-informed approach that works to regulate the nervous system, promotes embodiment, and provides individuals with the opportunity to connect with themselves in a new way. I use a combination of somatic therapy, person-centred counseling and empathetic listening to provide clients with a safe environment to begin their wellness journey.
