How to choose between hotline, shelter, lawyer, therapist, and legal aid
Choosing the right type of support can depend on your immediate needs. Here are some considerations:
- If you are in immediate danger, contact a crisis hotline for urgent support and guidance on safe options.
- If you need a safe place to stay, a shelter may be the most appropriate choice.
- For legal questions or concerns, reaching out to a lawyer or legal aid service will provide clarity on your rights.
- If you are looking for emotional support, a therapist can help you work through your feelings and experiences.
Assess your current situation and prioritize what feels most urgent for you.
