How to choose between hotline, shelter, lawyer, therapist, and legal aid
Choosing the right type of support can depend on your immediate needs. If you are in crisis, a hotline may be the best first step for immediate help. If you need a safe place to stay, contacting a shelter is advisable. For legal matters, seeking legal aid or a lawyer can provide essential guidance. Therapists can support emotional healing, while support groups can offer community connection. Assess your situation and prioritize your needs when deciding whom to reach out to.
